Terms of Use

TODO: Legal review   This document is grounded in how the RosterOS iOS app behaves but has not been reviewed by qualified counsel in your jurisdiction. Have an attorney review it before relying on it for a regulated launch.

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using RosterOS ("RosterOS", "the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Use of the service

RosterOS is licensed, not sold, for use by personal trainers and small studios managing their own business. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to resell access to your account, share credentials with others, or use the app to operate a service for third parties without our written permission.

Subscriptions & billing

RosterOS Pro is offered as a monthly or annual subscription, sold through the Apple App Store. By subscribing you authorise Apple to charge your payment method at the published rate for your region.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal amount may differ if Apple has notified you of a price change.

Manage your subscription, view renewal dates, or cancel from iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → RosterOS.

Free trial & free tier

New accounts may receive a 14-day free trial of RosterOS Pro. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being billed.

RosterOS also offers a permanent free tier limited to 3 client records. Upgrading to RosterOS Pro is required to add additional clients and to access Pro-only features such as progress photos, measurement charts, PDF progress reports, session packages, and auto-suggested follow-ups.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time via Apple as described above. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of the current period.

Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policy. Use reportaproblem.apple.com to request one. RosterOS does not process refunds directly.

Your data

You retain ownership of the data you enter into RosterOS (clients, sessions, notes, payments, photos). You grant RosterOS a limited licence to store, process, sync, and back up that data as required to deliver the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have any necessary consent from your clients to record information about them.

You can export your data via Settings → Data at any time. Account deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

RosterOS, the RosterOS brand, the dumbbell wordmark, and the application's design and code are owned by the publisher of the app. These terms grant you no rights to those assets beyond personal use of the app itself. You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the app except where permitted by law.

Prohibited use

• You may not use the app to store data that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• You may not attempt to bypass the client-cap on the free tier or otherwise circumvent billing.
• You may not interfere with the operation of the service or attempt unauthorised access.
• You may not use the app to spam, harass, or impersonate clients, prospects, or any third party.

Disclaimers

RosterOS is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of security flaws. The app is not a medical, legal, or financial advisor; nothing in it constitutes professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RosterOS and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you breach these terms, if required by law, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

Changes to terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app and dated at the top of this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
